As the wife of a firefighter, I have seen first hand how the job affects not only the first responder, but their family as well. I am passionate about helping first responders cope with on the job trauma, relationships, medical issues, anxiety, depression, and anger management. Often times first responders are hesitant to seek therapy because they are taught to be the ones that help others, not to be the ones that need help. Let's work on breaking that stigma and normalizing the need to talk about the difficult calls, the demands of the job, the strain on your marriage, the time away from your kids, and the loss of your fellow first responders.
I am a Certified EMDR therapist and utilize this treatment method often when working with first responders. In addition to working with first responders, I also specialize in the treatment of substance abuse, eating disorders, and grief and loss. I look forward to helping you on your journey and would be honored to be a part of your healing process.
