I began my career working with veterans at Edward Hines Memorial VAMC in Chicago in their dual diagnosis Trauma and Substance Abuse clinic. There I completed CPT and PE practicum and certification, as well as Seeking Safety for dual diagnosis. I have spent my entire career working with trauma with a variety of populations. I worked for their State of Delaware as a psychiatric social working in their mobile crisis response unit assessing acute substance abuse and mental health crisis/suicide risk. I am currently completing Cigna's recommended certification program through NERPSC. In my private practice I currently treat first responders, their spouses and teenage/adult children. I completed Gottman Method Couples Therapy Levels 1 & 2 for use with first responder relationships. I am attending EMDR training next.
