Biography: 

Becky Cheresnick has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Coral Springs, Fl since 1996. Her practice is comprised of first responders, children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She specializes in anxiety, depression, divorce, grief and bereavement, crisis situations and post traumatic stress. She has worked with the FBI, DEA, Homeland Security, sheriff and police departments, and all branches of the military. She has been closely involved in bank robbery situations, suicides in the workplace, the aftermath and victims of 9-11 and the mass shooting at Majority Stoneman Douglas High School. For the past 3 years she has been a member of the Clinical Response Team of the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department and the Florida Firefighter Safety and Health Collaborative. In this capacity, this team is an essential component of their fire department and the Collaborative, and are training clinicians across the state of Florida in understanding the first responder lifestyle and how best to counsel responders according to their specific needs.
