I work with individuals and families experiencing relational, behavioral, and emotional issues. I specialize in men's mental health and wellness, anxiety, depression, adhd, parenting, divorce and family and/or couples issues. I also have extensive experience with grief, loss and trauma; older adolescents and women's issues.
My direct style, quick wit and southern charm allows for a level of comfort that is highly approachable, professional and sincere. By creating a comfortable and safe environment, I assist clients working through personal and professional issues. I normalize counseling so my clients feel at ease and openly process. Many of the individuals and families I work with struggle with work-life balance. I teach different coping techniques for all areas of life, whether its anger, anxiety, alcoholism, stress or parenting, I'm here for them. When clients feel more stable and grounded, they gain more emotional balance and better mental clarity, something we all need.
Again, my experience and straightforward approach allows me to build strong relationships with each client and the community. I am culturally competent and learn from my clients daily. Though my primary focus is on the mental, emotional, health and behavioral well-being of the individuals, couples, and families I see; I genuinely care about their journey and progress. My extensive clinical experience with both professionals and families spans over two and half decades in South Florida, Texas, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
