Biography:

I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida and California, with more than 15 years experience in the field. I enjoy being able to provide help and assistance to everyone, especially those also in a helping field. I am a very honest and transparent person which is reflected in my therapeutic style. I believe in carefully challenging clients to reach their potential. I am their biggest cheerleader, and I practice what I preach. I am solution focused and also require my clients to take ownership and responsibility for their lives and their actions. My style has lead to clients whom have successfully taken control of their lives and learned valuable daily distress tolerance skills. I work with first responders regarding suppressed emotions which seems to be one of the biggest issues as it relates to trauma from their past and current traumas related to their work. I teach work life balance, and whole person self care, just to name a few. I work on clients gaining knowledge regarding their emotional behaviors and the negative consequences that come from not addressing them. I teach them healthy skills to cope with their emotions instead of trying to push them away which lead to additional mental and physical problems. I am Master's level certified in treating Addictions/Substance Abuse, Complex Trauma Levels I & II, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and I am completing my certification for Integrative Medicine for Mental Health.
