Luna Medina-Wolf is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Master Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP), Approved consultant for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida. Luna is the owner of a Group Private Practice, Helping Moon Counseling, P.A. in Boca Raton, FL. Luna has been a board member of Professionals United for Parkland (501 (c)3 organization since March, 2018 and is in her second term as the president (since 2019-2020). Luna continues her professional development with the American Counseling Association, American Mental Health Counselors Association, American Psychology Association, Florida Mental Health Counseling Association (FMHCA), and Florida Counseling Association (FCA) in order to bring the best and most current practices to her clients. Luna won the FCA member of the year award in 2019, and the FMHCA advocate of the year award in 2019. Luna is fluent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew.

Luna held the position as the FCA secretary during the terms of 2017-2018 year. During her term she collaborated with the local school board and the FCA leadership team to offer therapeutic support for the first responders, teachers and student/families of the school the day after the shooting. Luna grew up in Israel and served in the Israeli army for three years. Luna was a second lieutenant when she completed her service. Luna has a strong passion to working with Veterans and first responders, which lead her to become trained in EMDR and attending the Clinician awareness training.

Luna has a strong background in working with individuals who are struggling with substance abuse, and those who experienced trauma. Her love, dedication, and the compassion she possesses for her clients make her an effective therapist. Luna works with individuals, couples, and families experiencing different obstacles that can cause high levels of emotional pain and anxiety. Luna’s passion for EMDR began the second day of her training and she keeps on learning more about the techniques through additional seminars and workshops. Luna sincerely believes in the success and long-term efficacy of EMDR, and the importance of dissociation work as intertwined with EMDR phase work.
