I have been working with first responders for many years. My training included education on concerns unique to first responders and their families as well as ride alongs and spending time in firehouses to gain a deeper understanding of the day to day experience of this population. On a personal note, I also have several police and firefighters in my immediate family and have become very familiar with the culture.
I have specific training in trauma, anxiety and depression, as well as anger management and domestic violence. I also specialize in working on self-improvement, coping skills, co-dependency and family histories of trauma and abuse. Grief/loss and chronic illnesses are also areas of expertise that I commonly see in the first responder community. I welcome the opportunity to discuss potential client concerns to determine the best fit to meet their needs.
