UCF RESTORES – which includes the National Center of Excellence for First Responder Behavioral Health™ – is a nonprofit clinical research center and treatment clinic established to change the way posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related concerns are understood, diagnosed and treated.
Proudly operated by UCF RESTORES, Redline Rescue is dedicated to the mission of serving firefighters and their families in their times of need. We are a community of firefighters and professionals committing to serving those who serve selflessly behind the badge.
This site grew out of one firefighter’s commitment to resiliency and recovery through connectivity to the community.
This mission is built on the foundation of connecting firefighters and their families to trained Peer providers and culturally competent clinicians in their times of need.
Through education and community, this movement helps provide the support needed to deliver sustainable healing for the fire service family.
Originally a collaboration between UCF RESTORES and the Florida Firefighters Safety and Health Collaborative, UCF RESTORES launched the initial website in 2021. The current site has benefitted greatly from a grant from the State of Florida Department of Children and Families (LH843) and from the support of First Lady Casey DeSantis.
The mission of Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance is to collaborate, develop, and implement behavioral health awareness, prevention, intervention, and post crisis strategies.
The Florida Firefighters Safety & Health Collaborative is a FREE Program to Fire Departments looking to enhance, and maintain an effective Safety Committee and/or Safety Program.
Illinois Firefighter Peer Support is defined as assistance provided by a trained individual or group of trained firefighters and emergency responders who answer the call to their brothers and sisters in need, regardless of the need.
The Bureau of Fire Standards & Training approves Florida’s firefighter training curricula, provides training to Florida’s emergency services providers at the Florida State Fire College and certifies Florida fire service members to ensure they meet industry-based standards.
The Florida Fire Chiefs’ Association (FFCA) is Florida’s leading management education organization for fire and emergency services professionals. It is the professional association that specializes in promoting and supporting excellence in fire and emergency services management.
Redline Rescue uses artificial intelligence to match the specialties/experience of peer support specialists and clinicians to firefighters and their families who are seeking support.
Please carefully check the options that best describe your personal and professional experience with stress and trauma. Firefighters in need will be able to search for peer support providers
on personal characteristics, physical location, and experience with a variety of stressors. For clinicians, first responders will be able to search based on physical location, insurances
accepted, availability of a sliding fee scale, and areas of clinical expertise.
