Why am I a good fit to work with first responders?
I’m a former Firefighter EMT, former Navy Corpsman,, retired Veterans Benefits Administration Case Manager I have 34 years of public service experience. I have served as a Hospital Chaplain since 2012, a former peer support volunteer at a VA hospice working with veterans dealing with PTSD and various mental health and physical illnesses. I’m a father of two wonderful children and one grandchild and have been I’ve been married for 34 years. I’m a man whose faith “Christ follower” has been at the forefront of my spiritual formation as a Chaplain. My faith serves me well and allows me the ability to come along side others regardless of their faith traditions or those who have no belief system. I have served nationally and internationally

What other first responder issues and goals do I work with?
I have had my own challenges with compassion fatigue, depression, anxiety, burnout, moral injury and post traumatic growth. I have lived and learned experiences as a first responder, I have training and educational experiences dealing with various mental health issues and specific issues common to many first responders. I have served on the Board of Directors for several organizations who provide trauma informed services to first responders and others dealing with trauma.
